As COVID-19 decimated the fitness industry and frankly the entire world, SoulCycle needed to quickly pivot our operations to create a safe, cycling experience for our hardcore riders to take while quarantining at home.
In under 6 weeks, we were able to quickly build out a streaming experience that rider could watch either directly through our website, on the EQX+ app or on our at-home bike tablet.
While our at-home bike product was created for streaming SoulCycle rides on the SoulCyle at-home bike; Studio stream was for those who may or may not have the bike and cannot get to a studio. This was a PPV model as opposed to subscription based.
